Bilateral talks between foreign ministers of Serbian an Romanian I. Dacic and T. Meleskanu

The first Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Teodor Melescanu during his working visit to Timisoara, where he participated in the international conference "Security Challenges in the Balkans". The meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania was very important because all relevant topics of bilateral cooperation were considered. It was concluded that the relations between the two countries are traditionally good and friendly and that they represent a model of good neighborly relations in the region. Romania is one of the five members of the EU and one of the four NATO members that have not recognized Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence, which is a fact of particular importance for Serbia. Bilateral economic cooperation between Serbia and Romania are on the rise and exchange of goods, one the most important segment of economic relations, is continuously increasing. The meeting of the two ministers was a very good opportunity to talk about many topics, the realization of which is expected in the immediate future, and it surely gave a very significant impulse to the good relations between the two countries, directly influencing theirs successful course and realization as well  as concrete arrangements and potential joint projects.
